Materials:
Leaves (from Dollar Tree)
Lid to a shoe box-- yes that's your canvas!
Tools:
Scissors
Glue gun
First, map out your "canvas," This is to make sure you have enough leaves.
Next, start gluing!
This is the fully covered "canvas"
I didn't like the little specks of white poking through on the bottom. I only had a few leaves left and they were all red. I chopped them up like so:
I slipped the pieces in the bottom to fill up the white:
I also scouted out any white spaces I left and filled them in. I wanted a more finished look for my canvas, so I glued the edges of the leaves to the sides. This is the final product:
Fall art for $1. What do you think?

so cute!
this is just way to pretty!
It has a chevron pattern that's cool without being derivative. I like the idea of the shoebox lid as canvas. Genius.
This is great. I love how it looks like graphic art from far away but up close it is leaves!
Awesome..super smart fall wall decore idea :)
thanks for sharing honey *(*
That is amazing! Very, very cool project. I need to go to Dollar Tree now.

Very pretty! I love the idea of using a shoebox for the canvas!
This is so cute! Can't believe it was only $1! And I definitely thought you had somehow preserved leaves you found outside because these look so pretty and real! : )

I love this! I have plenty of fake leaves and canvases to create! I think I just might try to make this! :) THANKS so much for sharing!
My favorite thing about this project is how resourceful it is. I love that you found something on the cheap, and then used something you already had (also LOVING the idea of a shoebox lid for a canvas. I'm totally going to use that--). Great inspiration!
