I decided to make bloomers for her. I searched the internet for a pattern and the best one I found was here. They make it really easy with multiple patterns. PB was a little small for even the smallest but with her diaper it fit fine.
I ended up making two. My MIL helped me out and I got to use her really nice sewing machine and embroidery machine. The first pair was a practice and the second pair was the one she wore. We embroidered a "P" on the bum. The practice pair my MIL sewed some pretty elastic on and she can wear those now too! Here are some pictures I took today of her modeling them:
Isn't she a doll? |

Oops looks like I have a string to cut on there :) |
Have any great tutorials you've tried out?
Happy Wednesday!

so precious! My baby was just baptized, and I bought a pair and had them monogrammed-- I am definitely going to make some for her now!

My kids are all older now but these little bloomers were a standard for me. I loved having them to cover up the diapers when they wore dresses. I even had their names embroidered in different colors to coordinate with various outfits! Even more precious, that you made them for your little PB! What a dollbaby she is!
that looks great! funny, I found the same pattern last week, and made a pink pair for a newborn photo session I had on Monday. I love how you embellished the back of yours. I thought about doing that, but ended up leaving it plain.
Thanks for linking to Things I've Done Thursday! Love your project!
Come back on Thursday for more fun!! :)
